Amy spent her childhood and teenage years in Vicksburg, where she participated in various activities, received many honors, and made lifelong friendships.
After high school she attended the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with a degree in nutrition and dietetics. However, Amy always wanted to follow in her Daddy's footsteps and later attended Mississippi State University where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. For several years, she was a vet in Vicksburg at Animal Medical Clinic. She was currently working as a veterinarian at Lakeview Animal Hospital in D'Iberville. Amy was a loving and compassionate veterinarian and had recently become involved in rescuing coastal wildlife. She was also involved with several humane societies and rescue shelters. Family was very important to her. Amy was a loving daughter, sister, and mother. Amy's three children were her greatest blessings. She was no happier than when they were off on a new adventure or snuggled up together at home.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Robert H. Anderson, Jr. She is survived by her son, Robert Beauman Brogdon; daughters, Bailey Grace Brogdon and Samantha Lee Anderson; mother, Gloria Anderson; and sister, Breanne Anderson Simmons. A memorial service will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on Thursday, December 29th, 2022. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM.
