Spivey's Corner
Mrs. Coleen Weeks Westbrook, 91, of 16421 Spivey's Corner Hwy., Dunn, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her home.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 27 at 2:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom McMahon officiating. An Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in May 1931, in Sampson County, Coleen was the daughter of the late Gib and Katie Odum Weeks and the widow of her beloved husband, James Joseph Westbrook. She was a member of St. Matthews PH Church and a homemaker. She loved her family dearly and to know her was to love her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Westbrook Ross (Eddie), and two sons: Dennis James Westbrook (Pam) and Timothy Lee Westbrook (Brenda) all of Spivey's Corner; two sisters: Aleen W. Southerland, and Alice Rose Gainey both of Clinton; three grandchildren: Greg Westbrook (Nicole), Samantha Tyer (Jeremy), and Elizabeth Hudson (Mike); six great-grandchildren: Tyler Jones, Chase Westbrook, Everly Tyer, Layton Tyer, Weston Hudson, and Charlotte Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Coleen was preceded in death by three sisters: Edna Jackson, Clara Brock, and Loreen Bradshaw; five brothers: Woodrow Weeks, Roland Weeks, Frank Weeks, Thomas Weeks, and William "Bud" Weeks.
The family will receive friends Monday Evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at her son, Dennis' home, 8088 Newton Grove Hwy., Dunn, NC. 28334.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthews Church, in c/o Phyllis Hobbs, 58 Massey Rd., Newton Grove, NC. 28366.
