Jimmy Stringer
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church for Jimmy Stringer, 65, of Foxworth, who died Feb. 19, 2008, at his residence.
Burial will be in Lott Cemetery.
Col. Stringer was a retired colonel with the Mississippi Highway Patrol and a chief of police in Columbia. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmon and Willie Stringer.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Rowell Stringer of Foxworth; a daughter, Rhonda Jo Stringer of Petal; a son, Jason Stringer of Foxworth; a sister, Theresa McKenzie of Foxworth; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia.
