128 Trooper Edwin Horace Ransley, A squadron, 1st New South Wales Mounted Rifles. Son of William and Eliza Ransley from Llandilo, New South Wales. He volunteered for service in South Africa during the Second Anglo Boer War. He died of enteric fever (typhoid) at the Stationary Hospital, Sterkstroom on 27 Apr 1900 aged 30 years. He is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour at Treloar Crescent, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
