In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Paul Zornes; three sisters, Trinnie Thompson, Kathryn Gillium, and Mabel Greene; six brothers, Ollie, Clifford, Bruce, Vernon, Ernie, and Raymond Zornes.
David was a Christian and a member of the Lower Grassy Church of Christ. He was a retired employee of CSX Railroad.
David is survived by his wife, Hazel Rister Zornes; a son, Gary Zornes of Grayson; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Aaron Keeton, minister. Burial will follow in the Horsley Cemetery near Rock Springs.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
