Louise W. Bloom, 101, died Feb. 13, 2008, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Medicine Lodge.
She was born June 26, 1906, in Medicine Lodge, the daughter of Fredrick "Fred" and Florence Williams Wadsworth. She attended Southwestern College in Winfield. A lifetime Medicine Lodge resident, she was a homemaker and a teacher.
She belonged to the United Methodist Church, Lorraine Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and D.A.R.
On July 24, 1932, she married Glenn L. Bloom at Medicine Lodge. He died Sept. 30, 1999.
Survivors include: two sons, Dean Bloom, Medicine Lodge, Charles Bloom, Leawood; two daughters, Betty Buell, Medicine Lodge, Marie Hanson, Pratt; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by: two brothers, Virgil and Albert Wadswoth; a sister, Milkdred Murray; a granddaughter; and a son-in-law.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Frank DeFisher presiding. Private Burial was held in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
