Daughter of Charles Wesley Forney and Mary Ann Ash, she married Melvin Joseph Swisher, son of John Swisher and Christina Goudy who are buried in Dalton Cemetery, Wayne County OH.

Melvin died May 13, 1957, Portage Lakes at home of their daughter Mrs. Hazel Dunkle.
He was survived by sons Adrian, Roy and Cloice, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
