Several months ago she became ill. It was soon seen that her sickness was serious, but Favola hoped with her parents and loved ones that she would soon be well. However, she gradually grew worse until she passed to the Great Beyond early Wednesday morning, March 17, 1926. She had reached the age of 20 years and five months.
Favola was a girl of whom her parents were justly proud. She was of that quiet and unassuming nature. She always appreciated friendship with her many friends. In her sickness she was patient and uncomplaining. Throughout her life she showed a sweet Christian spirit. She will be missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.
There are left to mourn her loss her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Spencer; two brothers, James N. and Russell B., and four sisters, Helen S., Ruth L., Maragaret Irene, and Esther Fern, besides a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from the home Friday afternoon [March 19] at 2 o'clock. The Rev. George S. Morrell, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Stratton, was in charge of the service. Mrs. Geo. Rohn and Mrs. George S. Morrell sang. Members of the graduating class of 1924, Misses Ida Desens, Lela Brannam, Ruby Hannah, Icie Bramblette, Mabel Sharp, with Miss Margaret Richards were the bearers. A large number of sorrowing friends attended the last rites. Internment was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
