Conway Oliver was a son of Capt. A. W. Oliver, who was living in Joaquin in 1918.

Conway Oliver died in October 1918 at his home near Neuville, "following a siege of pneumonia....Mr. Oliver was first a victim of the influenza and was able to be up and on account of some unthoughted exposure relapsed and immediately developed pneumonia." Survivors included his wife, two children, and his father.
