Edwin A. Kenyon February 13, 2008
Edwin A. Kenyon, 85, of St. Lawrence Park Road, Alexandria Bay and formerly of North Syracuse , passed away Wednesday at Elderwood Health Care at Birchwood. He was born in Syracuse , the son of Samuel A. and Edith Rech Kenyon. He was married to Shirley Lux on June 26, 1948, in New Hartford. He was a graduate of the Class of 1940 from Vocational High School. Edwin headed the insurance for the diocese of Ogdensburg for Gallagher- Basset. He served as a SSGT during WWII in the Army Air Force, where he was a B-25 gunner and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Rotary club, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a communicant of St. Cyril's Catholic Church.
He was predeceased by his wife on May 11, 1990. Surviving are his children, Lynn Kenyon of North Syracuse , Peter (Yvonne) Kenyon of Baldwinsville and Edwin A. Kenyon Jr. of Liverpool; two grandsons, Michael and Richard; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2008, in St. Cyril's Catholic Church, 28 Walton St., Alexandria Bay. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse .
