BOSLEY FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY – 2022
Ray Smothers, age 90, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. He was born on January 30, 1932 in Gravel Switch, KY to the late Mose Smothers and Minnie Webb Smothers. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Smothers, Albert Smothers; three sisters, Zelma Reynolds, Kathleen Bennett, Lena Milburn. Survivors include his loving wife of 74 years, Mary Margaret Smothers of Lebanon; two sons, Ronald (Debbie) Smothers and Donald (Nancilyn) Smothers, both of Nicholasville; daughter, Linda (Gary) Price of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Anna (David) Dressman, Allison (Sean) Sobolewski, and Jill Smothers; four great-grandchildren, Asher Dressman, Auden Dressman, Eleanor Sobolewski, Finn Sobolewski. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Clellan Hays. Interment to follow in Ryder Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Bosley Funeral Home and on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
