Those present were Mrs. Linden Gardner and daughter Nina of Port Colden; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gardner and two children of Bridgeville; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. L. Paul of Hazen; Wm. Paul and friend, Miss Jennie Green, of Belvidere, and Mrs. Wm. Paul of Belvidere.

John Aaron Paul died at the home of his son, Alonzo Paul, 71 Front Street, Belvidere, last Friday evening of complications, aged 65 years. He was a member of the Bible class of the Second Presbyterian church, and the Sons of Veterans. He was born at Northumberland county, a son of the late William and Keziah Paul. Besides his mother he is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Kate Gardner, Port Colden; Mrs. Floyd Bangart, Belvidere; three sons, William, of Warwick, N.Y.; George, of Hazen, and Alonzo, of Belvidere, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held from the home of his son, 71 Front Street, Monday afternoon. Rev. Wilbur J. Thrush, officiated. Interment was made in the Belvidere cemetery.

Members of the Sons of Veterans acted as pallbearers: Harry Baker, Lawrence Heed, Delbert Trimmer, George Matlock, James Seguine and Harry Phillips, Sons of Veterans, having charge of the service at the grave.
