Ann was the oldest of six siblings. She was preceded in death by: Wardie W. Thomas, Jane B. Kinlaw, and Joyce E. Mork. She is survived by: Mary R. Ivey, Violet R. Barbour, and Shelia T. Ashenhurst. Though not related by blood, she had another sister in Joyce Upton who was a constant in her life.
In 1954 Ann married Lawrence "Larry" Henry Wallace II. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years. She is survived by her dear friend and sister-in-law Nell Rose Hubbard and husband George Hubbard. Ann is survived and remembered by her children: Ann-Ivey Wallace Lane, Lawrence Henry Wallace III, and David Grantham Wallace. She was a warm and caring grandmother to her grandchildren: Larry-Wallace E. Lane, Hannah Laura Wallace Seeber, and Grant Hatcher Wallace. Ann was so excited to welcome her first great granddaughter, MaryAnn Louise Seeber, into the world after the new year. While she left us too soon, Ann will be watching over MaryAnn from the kingdom of the King Most High.
Ann was an active member of the church and community. She was a founder and president of the Smithfield Garden Club. She enjoyed her time with the Woman's Club. As a member of many bridge clubs over the years, she spent a lifetime perfecting how she played the game.
Ann's celebration of life will be a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Smithfield on Saturday,
