Aana Christine Dorn, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her home.

She was born on September 16, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Gary and Sylvia "Sali" (Johnson) Dorn.

Aana graduated from Indiana's Columbus North High School. She went on to work in the agriculture industry as a horse midwife. Aana was baptized at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. She was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. Aana loved animals (especially horses), spending time with her grandchildren, and gardening. She was known as a very funny soul with a unique sense of humor. Aana had an incredible love for her grandchildren and was an honorary grandmother for lots of people outside of her family.

Aana is survived by her son, Dakota (fiancé, Tanya) Sims of Glenarm; companion of 35 years, Don Sims of Springfield; parents, Gary and Sali Dorn of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Aiden and Alexis James, and Waylon and Wesley Sims; sister, Sarah Dorn; brothers, Mark and James Dorn; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
