He was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Harrisburg, the son of Brad M. Sr. and Hazel Sheperd Chase. He married Alice E. Huber in 1942. Mr. Chase served four years as a B-24 pilot and squadron commander in the India-Burma-China Theater during World War II. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a lieutenant colonel in 1962. Mr. Chase was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1982 from the engineering department. He was a member of the Laurel United Methodist Church and Telephone Pioneers of America.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; three daughters; eight grandchildren; and a brother, James E. Chase.
Services at Bisch and Son Funeral Home. Burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
