Graveside services for Samuel Glenn Lowrance Sr, age 81 of Lindale, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Golden Cemetery in Golden, Texas with Pastor Lewis Pollard officiating and under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
Samuel passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. He was born October 24, 1938 in Afton, Texas to the late Oscar and Mandy (Stephens) Lowrance. Samuel lived in Lindale for over 50 years where he was the owner/operator of S&L Garage and also worked for some time in the oil field. He loved drag racing, building race cars, and restoring classic cars. Samuel is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Lowrance in 2016; brothers, Garald, O.V., L.D., and Tommy; and sister, Erlene.
He is survived by sons, Sammy Lowrance of Lindale, Larry Lowrance of Lindale, and Jerry Lowrance of Arlington; daughter, Joy Jackson of Lindale; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
