Robert "Bob" J. Reinkober

Robert died on June 19, 2022. He was born on November 23, 1934, the second child of Vincent and Edna (Schomisch) Reinkober along with his twin sister, Barbara, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton where they stayed for six weeks allowing their mother to recuperate. He attended kindergarten and grade school in his hometown of Chilton. Followed by six years at the Salvatorian Minor Seminary in St. Nazianz, and then another six years at the major seminary, St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD where he received his AB in Philosophy and STB in Theology. Following ordination into the Green Bay Diocese, he was assigned as curate at St. Joseph Parish, Green Bay; followed by hospital chaplain at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh and then as administrator of the Oshkosh Apostolate, the Catholic Charities Office. He resigned from the diocese and worked as a Field Officer for the Governor's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped in Chicago, IL. He returned to academia at the University of Minnesota where he attained his Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA). He found employment as an assistant and then associate hospital administrator at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN (1970-1980). This was followed by work as a consultant in medical planning and space programming for the Ellerbe architectural firm from 1980-1990, with worksites from New York to Florida and Texas and Arizona. He closed his work career as a tax preparer for H&R Block.

He married Donna (LaPlante) Reinkober in August of 1968 in Hopkins, Minnesota. Donna taught in elementary schools for forty years and passed away in March of 2019 after 50 years of married life. They both enjoyed golf, travel and casinos. They leave no children of their own…but many siblings as follows (with deceased members marked in parentheses).

His in-law's - (Clarence & Mariel LaPlante); (Mary Lu Popelka); (Darrel "Bud" & Mary Ann LaPlante); Louise and Ron Swiecichowski; (Monica Morrow); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Family will greet relatives and friends at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Allouez from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27. Private entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family with arrangements.
