Minnie was the fifth of eleven children. She married Franklin Anthony Klaman at Wilkes-Barre on January 28, 1902, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. A. S. Messinger. The couple had four children: George, Elmer, Harry, and John. The oldest and youngest children died as infants.
