MILTON EARL TYLER was the son of John Earl Tyler Jr. and Mrs. Mary Ruth (Williams) Tyler.

"Brother Milton Earl Tyler, 67, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. He was born on Tuesday, January 12, 1954, at Parkland Memorial Hospital, in Dallas, to the parentage of John Earl Tyler, Jr. and Mary Ruth Tyler. Milton was born and raised in the historical Arlington Park Estates Community. He attended Dallas County public schools, later obtaining his high school equivalency diploma. He loved music, and he was proficient in many instruments.

At an early age, he united with New Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, in Dallas, Texas, under the pastorage of Rev. I.B. Butler, presently Pastor Rev. Terry E. Tyler. He was an active member of the choir some of his leading songs were "I'm So Satisfied", "So Much to Be Grateful For", "God Is", duet's "I Love You Lord" and "Potter's House". Milton loved the Lord.

Brother Milton eventually retired from Advo, Inc.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Houston-Tyler; his father, John Earl Tyler Jr., and brother, Wilbert Vern Tyler.

Bro. Milton leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Mary Ruth Tyler; a son, Rev. Derrick Gray, and his wife, Tamiko; his grandchildren, Kennedy Gray, Kandance Gray and Keirson Gray; his stepdaughter, Sheri L. Shofner; three sisters, Sandra Tyler-Rimpson, Gloria Tyler-Wardsworth, and Segwendolyn "Se-Gwen" Tyler; two brothers, Don S. Tyler and Kenneth B. Tyler; a sister-in-law, Doris M. Tyler; two aunts, Georgia Tyler, of California, and Velma Cowling, of Jefferson, Texas; one uncle, Ronald Mathis, of Beaumont, Texas; several nieces and nephews; plus a wonderful host of other relatives and friends."
