Age 92 of Sharpsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Beloved husband of 68 years to Charlene (Earnest) Harrity; loving father of Patrick Harrity, Tim (Linda) Harrity, Bridget (Ken) Gamble, Peggy (Rich) Flowers, Shawn (Irene) Harrity, Kerry Harrity and Molly (Manny) Bracamonte; cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; dear brother of Alice (Glade) Knox, Suzanne Hoak, Margie Anderson and the late Patrick Harrity, Ann Schorsch, Rita Lawley, Elizabeth Luther, James Harrity, Connie DeLuca, Thomas Harrity, Charles Harrity and William Harrity; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. John was a proud Army veteran serving as Sergeant during the Korean War. He retired from Iron City Uniform & Towel. John enjoyed anything outdoors and his family. Visitation Thursday, December 15th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall, where a parting prayer will be held Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Mary Church, 210 Garnier, Sharpsburg. Burial will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
