First and foremost, she lived her life following Jesus, having accepted Christ at a young age. Her early education was in a one room schoolhouse. Later, she went to high school in Matewan, WV. After high school, with the benefit of a scholarship, she trained at Huntington WV hospital through Marshall University to be an x-ray technician. She then was employed at a hospital in Columbus OH.
While in Columbus, she met Ernest Harland Beadle Jr., the best thing that ever happened to him. On September 5th, 1970, they were married. Bonnie's capacity to love extended to Ernie's daughter Kelly that she welcomed into the family as one of her own. She was blessed with three additional children: Andrea, Ernest, and Eric. During those early years there were many moves for Ernie's career, and she ran each one as the captain of ship! She loved fiercely and parented justly. In time she was blessed with 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each of whom she cherished.
Bonnie means beautiful, and good while Mae means pearl and she lived up to the meaning of her name. It is said, the greatest rewards in heaven are for those that sacrifice for and serve others rather than themselves. Bonnie was the orchestrator of all family events. She played games with a grandchild on her lap, fed them Cherry Delight, and danced to The River of Life while holding their precious hands. It is only now that we can rejoice knowing that she is dancing in that sweet River of Life and one day we will again join her.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Cold Springs Cemetery in Garrison officiated by Pastor Jerry Kirby.
