George Washington Adolph's parents were: George and Rebecca Margaret (Schmuck) Adolph. Newspaper obit. says he was born in Missouri, but Census and War Records state he was born in Indiana. He married Elmira Saul, 20 July 1890 in Hamilton, Charles Mix Co., South Dakota. They had 10 children: Henry Jacob, George Washington, Carrie Agnes, John Clifford, Rosie, Maggie May, Elmer Lee, Lula (Lulu) Alice, Helen Anna, and Hubert Ira.
