Javenia B. Kemp
Crescent - Mrs. Javenia Bullock Kemp, 54, died at her residence in Crescent Tuesday at 11:55 p.m., following a lingering illness resulting from a paralytic stroke last May.
Mrs. Kemp was born February 16, 1881, in Murray, a daughter of Joseph H. and Matilda Smith Bullock. She moved to Crescent with her parents during her early childhood. She had been active in L.D.S. church work throughout her life, serving as a member of the Crescent L.D.S. ward Relief society for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey A. Kemp, and the following sons and daughters; Mrs. Robert Booth, Union; Mrs. Vera Hariman, San Pedro, Cal.; Melvin Kemp, Ogden; Mrs. Elvin Hughes, Sandy; James, Joseph, Daniel, Leo and Wanda Kemp, all of Crescent; and the following brothers and sisters: Charles Bullock, Salt Lake City; Clarence Bullock, Bingham; William Bullock, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Raymond Christensen, Kamas; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Crescent L.D.S. ward chapel, Bishop Homer W. Jaynes officiating. Friends may call at the George A. Jenkins mortuary in Murray Friday evening and Saturday and at the residence in Crescent Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Crescent cemetery.
