PAULETTE BRIAND DOYLE, 100, of OLD BRIDGE, died Saturday, Feb. 16, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in the French Colony of St. Pierre-et-Miquelon, she came to the United States, settling in the Bronx, N.Y. She resided in Cliffwood Beach for many years before moving to Old Bridge several years ago. She was a private duty nurse's aid for over 50 years, before retiring 20 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Lane Doyle in 1963; her son, Michael Doyle in 1997; her daughter, Paulette Nye in 1997; and by two brothers killed in World War I, Octave and Charles Briand. Surviving are 11 grandchildren, Patricia Volpe of Dighton, Mass.; Frank Doyle of Cliffwood Beach; Deborah Seigler of Ocean Township; John Doyle of Keyport; Karen Parker of Toms River; Barbara Doyle of Ocean Township; Kathy Belanger of Connecticut; Arlene Savitsky of Keansburg; Jan Nye of Ocean Grove; Paulette Nye of Ocean Grove; and David Nye of Pennsylvania; 19 great-grandchildren, Jamie Doyle, Kerry Grazianno, Jennifer Willis, Michael Savitsky III, Francis Savitsky, Daniel Savitsky, Toni Ann Pucciarelli, Paulette Pucciarelli, Candice Novak, Billy Novak, Shannon Nye, Katie Bergeron, David Trumpore, Robin Staley, Tammy Neron, Shawna Doyle, Brian Keehn, Nicholas Doyle and Kendall Seigler; and three great-great grandchildren, Kayla, Collin and Peyton.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Letters of condolence may be sent to [email protected].
