• DAVIS -- Services for Ezra Paul Edwards, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2001, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.

Mr. Edwards was born July 31, 1908, in Missouri, to J.T. and Alice Bratcher Edwards. He died June 11, 2001, in Davis.

He married Eva Bowersox on Jan. 4, 1927, in Wynnewood. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1985. On Feb. 5, 1991, he married Pearl Lynn. She preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 2000. He was also preceded by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Edwards worked at Falls Creek for 23 years as resident manager and during that time a number of construction projects were completed under his supervision, including Camp Nunny Cha Ha, B.B. McKinney Chapel and the swimming pool. After his retirement in 1966, he farmed south of Davis until the time of his death. He was a member of Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge 42 and a longtime member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Florence Montgomery and husband, John, of Davis, Evelyn Willis of Superior, Ariz., and Louise Deshazer of LaFayette, La.; a son, Paul Edwards of Okmulgee; three sisters, Lottie Hayden of Hugo, Vina Cox of Mansfield, Ark., and Ester Gaines of Fritch, Texas; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Bearers will be Jerry White, Buddy Jones, W.T. Young, Leland Slate, Buck Wilson and Wayne Webb. Honorary bearers are Fred Dale, Johnny Hines, Frank Heaton and fellow members of Masonic Lodge.

Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice or First Baptist Church.
