Thelma had resided in the Sturgis area most of her life.
For the past four months, she had been living with her daughter in South Bend, Indiana, for health reasons.
Oh September 10, 1944, she married Jack M. Sowers in Sturgis, Michigan. Jack passed away on July 14, 1997.

Thelma was the happiest when she was with her family.
She is survived by a daughter and three sons, eight grand children and eight great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
She had been attending the Granger Community Church in Granger, Indiana. She was a very active member and Past Chief of the Pythian Sisters Pocahontas Temple #121.
She loved doing her crafts, especially plastic canvas crafts.
She loved going out for dinner and for rides in the car.
Preceding her in death were her parents,(Henry Rambadt and Tena Holtz Rambadt), her husband, (Jack Miller Sowers); a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Kathryn Holtz and Josephine Weitting; and three brothers, Lavern Rambadt, Edmund Rambadt and Lawrence Rambadt.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Thelma Sowers will be held at 2p.m. on Monday February 18 at Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home of Sturgis. The Rev. Charles Vizthum of Whole Life Christian Fellowship will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
