Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, 11:00 am, at Allison Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Allison Memorial Chapel from 4:00 -6:00 Friday evening.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Louise Padgett of St. Marys, a daughter, Tammy Jones (Greg), of Blairsville, GA, a brother, Anthony Padgett (Shirley), of Glen Saint Mary, FL, a sister, Sue Wilson of Waycross, 6 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elva Eason Padgett, sons, Jerry Lynn Padgett, Jr., and Michael Padgett, a grandson, Travis Armstreet, and brothers, Kenneth Padgett, Steve Padgett, and Billy Padgett.
Jerry was born in Reidsville, GA, February 22, 1946. He had lived in Camden County since the age of 18 and was of the Baptist Faith. Jerry had worked for Gilman Paper Company as a shaft roller, owned and operated the Depot Lounge, and Point Peter Market. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a sales associate in the garden center at Walmart.
