Stephen Russell Michael, 63, of Camden, died Tuesday, April 27, at his home after a two year illness. Born May 3, 1935, in Preble County, he was the son of Hubert and Florence (Gault) Michael. He retired in 1998 from Delphi (Harrison) in Moraine City after 29 years. Mr. Michael was a U.S. Army veteran, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of George M. Verity Lodge in Middletown and a life member of the American Rifle Association. He was an antique dealer, horseman, hunter, fisherman and camper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Hubert Michael.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Michael; six sons, Stephen Jr. (Brenda) Michael of West Manchester, Jack (Kay) Michael of New Paris, Bruce (Lydia) Michael and Pete (Donna) Michael of Eaton, Ronald (Manuela) Michael, Steve (Peggy) Kelso of Lawrenceville, Ga. Also surviving are three daughters, Dianne (Daryl) Baker of West Manchester, Tonya (Raymond) Martin of El Paso, Texas, Karen (John) Busteed of Camden; four brothers, Dean (Connie) Michael of Camden, Paul (Beth) Michael of Eaton, Jack (Iretta) Michael of Indiana, Danny (Mary) Michael of New Madison; a sister, Sue (Sonny) Hileman of Camden; 14 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services are pending at R.C. Nein & Sons Thompson Funeral Home, Camden.
