From the obit of the Evening Herald newspaper, March 12, 1891, p.3: Mrs. Crosthwait, widow of Dr. Crosthwait, died yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. Carter, twelve miles from the city on the Harding Turnpike. The deceased was a sister of Judge A. L. Demoss, of the city. She was an excellent woman. The funeral took place at noon today, the remains being laid to rest at the family burying grounds. (End of obit). Mrs. Crosthwait was the mother of George Henry Harding. She is buried at the Demoss Cemetery in Bellvue, Davidson County, TN.
