Iris Bollinger Funeral held at New Prospect Church.

Iris Edna Bollinger, daughter of James Pinkney and Nancy
(Allen) Wakefield, was born in Silva, MO. on March 4, 1909
and died suddenly at the Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff,
MO. at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 23 days.
On June 12, 1926 she was united in marriage to Carl Walter
Bollinger and to this union seven children were born.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband Carl W.
Bollinger of Silva, four sons, Billy of Cahokia, Ill.,
Roy of Piedmont, James of Silva, and Jerry of the U.S.
Army stationed in Fort Riley Kansas, three daughters,
Helen Feazel of Cahokia Ill., Joyce Warrick and Katy
Bollinger both of Silva, 10 grandchildren also survive.
She leaves one brother Chester Wakefield of Cahokia, Ill.,
six sisters, Grace Westmoreland of Patterson, Pearl
DeSpain of Marquand, Virgie Allen of Piedmont, Junita
Joy of Eureka Kansas, Loah Twidwell and Velda Schlater
both of Cahokia, Ill., and a host of other relatives and
friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers,
Ira and Winfred Wakefield, and one sister Gloia Wakefield.
In 1936 Mrs. Bollinger professed her faith in Christ
and united with the New Prospect Baptist Church. She was
a faithful member and served as a Sunday School teacher.
She will be sadly missed by her family and her many
friends.
Funeral services were held at the New Prospect Church
Sunday, April 30, at 2:00 P.M., with the Rev. L.A. Davis
and the Rev. Orla Parker officiating. Music was by the
Twidwell family with Leah Greer, pianist. Pallbearers
were nephews.
Interment in the New Prospect Cemetery was by the
Gish-Bowles Funeral Home, Wayne County, MO.
