Amos, Rev. Gary Lynn Age 43 of Loudon, went to be with Lord Friday, February 15, 2002.
He was a member of the Philadelphia Worship Center Church of God and served as Chaplain of Toqua District Boy Scouts of America and the Loudon County Sheriff's Department. He was a former member of the Loudon County Rescue Squad and former member of the Anchormen Gospel Group of Maryville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Ella Mae Amos.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Barrier Amos; son and daughter-in-law, John Robert and Tiffany Amos; grandson, Chase Robert Reed Amos; sisters, Phyllis Amos Lane of Lenoir City, Carol Amos Foster and husband John of York, Pa., and Charolette Amos Artis of Asheville, N.C.; mother and father-in-law, Robert G. and Ida Mae Barrier; brother-in-law, Ted A. Barrier.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Sunday, with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Cook, Rev. Scott Curtis, Sr. and Rev. Leonard Shubert officiating.
Family and friends will gather at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Click Funeral Home to proceed to the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
Pall bearers will be Ted Barrier, Dean Rowe, Dennis Rowe, Joe Engel, David Drake and Jeff Rankin.
