He was the son of Henry H. Tinker and Nancy Bryant Tinker.
On Wednesday, December 1, 1909 as Henry Harrison Tinker, he married Irene Scott at the residence of Mrs. Charles Stewart Scott in Portland, Oregon. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harry Leeds.
On October 14, 1956 as Harry H. Tinker, he married Eleanor M. Wheelock in Portland, Oregon. His marital status was Widowed.

Harry Harrison Tinker, 88, son of pioneer Henry Harrison Tinker, who established the town of Long Beach in 1880 when Washington was still a territory died in a Long Beach nursing home July 7th. He was born in Marshland, Oregon and was buried in the family plot in the Pioneer Lone Fir Cemetery in Long Beach. He spent practically his entire life in Long Beach, leaving once to work in the shipyards during World War I and for several years worked in Portland.

He was closely identified with activities in Long Beach and was a member of the Ocean Beach United Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Woodsmen of the World and the 49ers Club of Long Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, Long Beach; son, Capt. Gordon Tinker, San Diego, California; step-son Ed Wheelock, Portland; two grandchildren; sister, Della Tinker Deputy, Santa Monica, California and five nieces.

Funeral services under direction of Penttila's Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach, were at 1PM Wednesday in Ocean Beach United Presbyterian Church, Long Beach, with the Rev. Thomas Heald officiating. Pallbearers were Albert Shier, Berwyn Nyberg, Ted Lentz, Donald Tinker, Wayne O'Neil, Carl Lentz, Mel Wray and Gordon Tinker. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Oman, Ed Holtz, Rival Moore, Charles Shier, Roy Gray, Alden Redfern and Ed Wheelock.
