Ellen was the daughter of Samuel and Matilda (Shue) Sterner.
Miss Ellen S. Sterner was born January 24, 1855 and died at the home of her nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester S. Rohrbaugh, near Seven Valleys, Pa., and with whom Miss Sterner had made her home for many years, on March 5, 1947, aged 92 years, 1 month, and 11 days.
Miss Sterner had been a kind and helpful neighbor and friend.
The funeral services were held from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Pa., March 8, 1947, where a large number of relatives and friends had gathered. The funeral text was Psalm 90:12. Burial was made in Shaffer's Church Cemetery.
