The Third ward chapel was crowded to capacity with friends and relatives who gathered Wednesday afternoon to pay a final tribute of respect to Mrs. Harriott Elliott, wife of Alex F. Elliott who passed away at her home Monday morning, death relieving her from a lingering illness. Many beautiful flowers were placed on the bier and the remarks of the several speakers at the services gave expression to sincere esteem and respect for her and her family.
The services were in charge of bishop H. J. Hansen. Musical numbers were furnished by the Third ward double quartet, a violin solo by Miss Virginia Hansen and a vocal solo by Mrs. Jas M. Peterson. Daniel Peterson, Mrs. C. K. Hansen, Christian Peterson and Bishop Hansen were the speakers. Chas L. Bean offered the invocation and the benediction was pronounced by Ira Gardner. Interment took place in the city cemetery where the dedicatory prayer was offered by G. W. Coons.

Elliott on April 5, 1899. Later the marriage was solemnized in the endowment house at Salt Lake City. They were blessed with four children, two of whom survive.
