Mr. Blagg was born in Danville on April 27, 1923, the son of Daniel and Mamie (Vilet) Blagg. Don married Bettye June Baker in 1940. She preceded him in death in 1950. On Sept. 4, 1951, Don married Mildred G. Griffith. Don is survived by: his wife, Mildred, of Georgetown; his two sons, Ronald (Joan) Blagg of Pennsylvania and Michael L. Blagg of Georgetown; his daughter, Tammy J. White of Georgetown; his five grandchildren, Eric L. Blagg, James A. Blagg, Marc O. Blagg, Dustin A. White and Michael R. White; his five great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren. His parents, a brother and a sister preceded Don in death.
Don was self-employed in the construction business, but was also known as a carpenter and electrician. He loved to play the guitar as well as playing pinochle and enjoyed spending his mornings drinking coffee with his friends at the Grapevine Family Restaurant in Georgetown. Don cherished his time spent with his family.
A memorial visitation only is scheduled for Mr. Donuel Blagg from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home at 200 E. West St. in Georgetown. Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
