~Obituary for Alice,
The Press Democrat, 10 Apr 1924, Thu, Pg 7:
"Funeral services were held here this afternoon for Mrs. Alice Whalen, who died suddenly at her home in Brown street Tuesday morning. Burial will take place at Annapolis Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Whalen was a native of England, coming to California 30 years ago. She made her home at Annapolis with her family until four years ago, when she came to Healdsburg. Many local friends of the family will extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved."

Santa Rosa Republican, 09 Apr 1924, Wed, Pg 5:
"...The husband, William E. Whalen, and 12 children survive to mourn her passing. The children are Mrs. Faith E. McLennon of San Francisco; Leo E. Batt, of Eureka; Mrs. May Evans, and Mrs. John Stribe of Annapolis; and Mrs. Elsie Groscup of San Francisco, Oliver G, Reuben C. Edith V., Ethel E., Grace E., and Leonard N. Batt, all of Healdsburg..."

The Press Democrat, 17 May 1924, Pg 6:
"Oliver G. Batt filed a petition yesterday for letters of administration in the estate of his mother, the late Alice E. Whalen who left realty and household effects valued at $2,800. There are twelve surviving children as heirs. The property is located at Annapolis and Healdsburg. Floyd D. Darby represents petitioner."

1900 Salt Point has her birth year as 1865. Along with her husband listed with her is a grandson, Robert Marshall, born March 1893 in CA. Alice and George married about 1880 as they are married 20 years in the census record; had 8 children, 8 still living.
The 1910 Salt Point census has Alice immigrating in 1880, she now has 14 children, 13 still living;

Based on the ages of the children I believe that George H. Batt 1886 - 1902 is the first born.
