Maxine B. (Gibson) Gohr, 69, Rogersville, Mo., passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008. She was born on Oct. 16, 1938, in Boxley, Ark., the daughter of Raster and Opal Gibson. Maxine was married to Richard Gohr on Oct. 6, 1959. She was a retired nurse, having worked at the Taylor Health Center at Missouri State University for over 28 years. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kent Curtis; two brothers, Buddy and J.T. Gibson; and a sister, Kay Plumlee. She is survived by her husband Richard; a son, Mike Gohr and wife, Karen; a grandson, Cody Gohr; a granddaughter, Brittany Gohr, all of Clever, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Curtis, Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Jackie Feltrope, Harrison, Ark.; two nieces, a nephew and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2008, in Mossville Baptist Church, Mossville, Ark., under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mossville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Baptist Home, 1625 W. Garton Rd., Ozark, MO 65721 or Community Hospices of America Foundation, 1465 E. Primrose, Suite A, Springfield, MO 65804. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, your love gives us a memory we will never forget.
