MILLMONT - Ruth Alma Bingaman, 99, a lifelong resident of Millmont and had recently resided with her son in Watsontown, entered into rest at 10:57 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born Dec. 2, 1909, in Millmont, a daughter of the late Andrew and Emma Jane (McFall) Rearick. On Nov. 1, 1924, in Millmont, she married Charles H. Bingaman who preceded her in death on July 20, 1984.

She was employed at the Laurelton Center for 12 years, retiring in 1965.

Alma was a member of the Millmont United Methodist Church.

Alma enjoyed her working in her flower garden at home, attending yard sales, spending time at her home in Deland, Fla., playing card games, and sharing time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Rosalyn A. Bingaman of Watsontown; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mildred M. Eisenhuth; seven half-brothers, Riley, Benjamin, Calvin, Harrison, and Jerry Rearick, Elmer, and Wesley Hartman; five half-sisters, Margaret [Rearick] Hunsinger, Sadie [Rearick] Catherman, Revonnah [Rearick] Mackey, Carrie [Hartman] Moyer, and Amelia Hartman.

Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 with Pastor Fred S. Yarger and the Rev. Richard M. VonNeida, officiating.

Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the Millmont United Methodist Church, c/o Fred Yarger, 1005 Cold Run Road, Millmont, PA 17845.
