Mr. Alderman passed away Saturday at a Wayne hospital at the age of 87 years. He was born at Kansas City Mo., August 16, 1870.
He had spent the past 18 months in a Wakefield nursing home and has been in failing health for some years. He was brought to the Wayne hospital on Friday and passed away the next day.
He married Grace Barr of Newport, November 14, 1896. They were the parents of seven children, Mrs. Adon Jeffrey of Wayne, Mrs. Melvin Stubbs of Phillipsburg, Kan. Mrs. Frank Losch of Pittsburg, Pa., Mrs. Dewey G. Laws, who passed away some years ago in Norfolk and three sons, John of Bassett, James Jr. of Denison, Ia. and Donald of Long Beach, Ca., 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one brother, Richard of Omaha.
The Aldermans lived in Brunswick for some years, as did their daughter, the Stubbs family.
Mr. and Mrs. Alderman celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1946. Mrs. Alderman passed away in December of 1956.
