Oct. 3 - Mrs Loretta J. Spencer, 88, a resident of 226 York st, died Tuesday night in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harry Reed, after an illness of 14 months. She was born July 24, 1868 in Six Lakes, Mich., and was married April 19, 1887 at Defiance. Mrs. Spencer came here 33 years ago from Continental, Ohio; and was a member of the local Methodist Church, its WSCS and Cheerful Workers Sunday School Class.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Reed, here; Mrs. M. L. Reynolds. Continental and Mrs. R. M. Cass, Strector, Ill ; two sons. Chester, Bowling Green and Lester, Chicago; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren and two half brothers, Asa Donaldson, Hudson, Mich., and Roy Donaldson, Continental.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pressley; a son, a sister, two brothers, a half brother and two grandchildren. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Friday, the Rev. Ralph Dessem, officiating. Burial is to be in Bellevue Cemetery.
