Mr. Arlie Randal Box, age 63, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on July 23, 1959 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Curtis Box and Madgie Posey Box Pierce. Arlie has resided all of his life in the Jefferson County community and attended Southwestern High School. He also received a certificate in welding from Ivy Tech. On May 28, 1975 in Louisville, Kentucky he was inducted into the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on May 24, 1977 at Fort Lewis, Washington. On August 8, 1976, Arlie was united in marriage to Wilma Adams at the Brooksburg Baptist Church. Arlie worked as a musician all of his life and enjoyed playing in bars and taverns in the surrounding counties. He enjoyed guitars, woodworking, and singing the Blues and Classic Rock. Arlie loved playing music with his brothers. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. Arlie died on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 7:55 a.m. at his home in Hanover, Indiana.

Arlie will be missed by his loving wife, Wilma Adams Box of Hanover, Indiana; his daughters, Kandice Box of Peru, Illinois, and Brandy McBride and her husband Justin of Murphy, North Carolina; his sons, Arliegh Box of Madison, Indiana, Allen Box of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kaelyn, Carolyn, Dylan, Zachary, Ethan, Zelma, Tobin, Atticus, and Arabella; his great grandson, Benny; his brothers, Gerald Box and his wife Susan of Florida, and Arnold Box of Hanover, Indiana; his brother in law, Bill Simmons's of Madison, Indiana; his sisters in law, Joyce Box of Bethlehem, Indiana, and Alice Ryker of Hanover, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Box, died January 26, 1997, his mother, Madgie Posey Box Pierce, died February 5, 2001, his brothers, Kenneth Box, died November 23, 2003, Denton Box, died April 28, 2002, and his sister, Margie Simmonds, died September 8, 1998.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree in Madison, Indiana.
MILITARY HONORS
A final salute with military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
