Siddie "Connie" Connie English, 77, Neosho, went to be with her husband, the love of her life, on Valentine's Day, Thurs., Feb. 14, 2008, at 11:20 a.m., with her loving family by her side. She was born May 29, 1930, in the state of Miss., to Edwin Andrews and Viola (Gilmer) Andrews.
Mrs. English was a bookkeeper for Ed's DX in Granby and Goodman for many years. She then worked at Stone Oil Co. of Crane, MO, before retiring. Connie was an avid seamstress and reader, and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Granby First Baptist Church.
Connie and Edward English were married March 27, 1949, in Ritchey, MO. He preceded her in death March 26, 1992. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Sprenkle, Neosho; Melinda Waggoner and husband, Leon, Jasper, MO; a son, Larry English, of the home; and a granddaughter, Lyndsey English, of the home, whom she helped raise, a brother, Dub Andrews, Disney, OK; two sisters, Peggy Shepherd, Gresham, OR and Dee Wilson, Joplin; she was beloved Nanny to her nine grandchildren, Stacey Barnes, Tracey Musgrave, Gerrod Sprenkle, Robyn English, Chad English, Lyndsey English, Joshua Ball, Matt Newman, Brittany Waggoner; fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerry; a great grandson, Austin Levi Sprenkle; two brothers and three sisters.
