Veteran of WWII. Honorable discharge as S Sgt.
Father of Harlan, Gary, Marsha, and Randy.

NEWSPAPER OBITUARY:
Marvin Oliver Mefford, 72, long time resident of Eldorado, died Tuesday at Harmon County Memorial Hospital, Hollis.

Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday at Corinth Baptist Church, Eldorado with Henry McBrayer officiating. Burial will be at Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born Nov. 8, 1913 at Grandfield, he was the son of the late E.H. and Beatrice Mefford who moved to Eldorado in 1937. He married Maedell Coke Dec. 21, 1940 at Gould and was a veteran of World War II. He was a farmer near Eldorado.

Survivors are his wife, Maedell, of the home; two sons, Harlan Mefford, Eldorado, Randy Mefford, Gould; a daughter, Marsha Robinson, Gould; one brother, Glenn Mefford, Eldorado; two sisters, Dorothy Helms, Eldorado and Goldie McElroy, Cleveland, Texas; six grandchildren.
