Gloster, Miss., March 16. — The train bearing the remains of Mrs. F. A. McLain arrived at Gloster at 3:20 p.m. Several friends of the family from Gloster accompanied the funeral party from New Orleans. It is but seldom that the human eye has an opportunity to behold a sadder spectacle. Every store in the town closed its doors and merchants and clerks repaired to the depot to receive the funeral party. The meeting of the Hon. F. A. McLain with relatives and friends under the sad circumstances is beyond the power of tongue or pen to describe. The remains were carried to the home, where they were viewed by a large number of friends. The interment will take place at the cemetery tomorrow at 10 o'clock.
