Mrs. Watkins died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Glen and Mildred (McKeen) McCoy. She grew up and attended high school in Lawrence.
Mrs. Watkins worked at Hallmark Cards from 1966 until she retired in 1985. She was active with Clinton Church and involved in Women's Auxiliary.
She married Arthur "Bud" Watkins on June 20, 1948, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Clyde "Spud" Watkins, Carbondale; a daughter, Sue Jarvis, Lawrence; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
