The daughter of Charles and Florence Williams, Kathryn was born December 21, 1910 in Wanamaker, Indiana. After 15 years of service, she retired in 1972 from United Christian Missionary Society. Kathryn was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and Delta Sigma Sorority.
Dr. Henry Hawkins will officiate at services 2 p.m. January 30, 2008 in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling Gerber Chapel - 5950 East Thompson Road, where friends may call after 12:00 noon. Burial will follow services in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Wanamaker.
Survivors: son, John C. (Marilyn) Holmes of Indianapolis; daughter, Joy A. (George) Whitsit of Greenwood; granddaughters, Julie Whitsit, Leslie (David) Roycraft, Mary K. Holmes and Beth A. (Steve) Hawks; four great-grandchildren; special friend, Jena Hartman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Holmes, whom she married on September 17, 1933 and died on December 19, 1990 and a sister, E. Louise "Pink" McCallie.
Services were entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home of Indianapolis, Indiana.
