YORK Evelyn M. (Brandenburg) Arnold, 81, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert R. Arnold. A graveside service will take place at Greenmount Cemetery. Born April 23, 1926, in Foxville, Md., a daughter of the late Rodger J. and Beulah Marie (Tracey) Brandenburg, she retired in 1993 after 35 years of service as a seamstress. Mrs. Arnold was a member of the York chapter of TOPS, Covenant Moravian Church, and the Jolly Skipper Youth Group at Bethany Moravian Church. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, baking, and loved being around her family, especially her grandson, Joshua. Mrs. Arnold is survived by a son, James A. Arnold of Waynesburg; a grandson, Joshua M. Arnold; a nephew, Johnny and wife, Sharon Brandenburg, a niece, Betty and husband, Bill Danelly, and a daughter-in-law, Carla A. Arnold, all of York; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Brandenburg.
