Mr. Creed, 85, of Dry Prong/Caney Lake, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 27, 2023, in Alexandria, LA.
Thomas "Dwain" was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a Marine Corps Veteran who served four years. He was a retired assistant principal and teacher of elementary and junior high in Grant Parish. He had a B.A. from Northwestern State University, Master Education from Louisiana State University and additional plus thirty hours from Northwestern State University. He was a deacon and member of First Baptist Church of Dry Prong. His faith also led helped him to serve in the Jail Ministry in Grant Parish. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death fifty-five days earlier by his loving wife, Iris Durr Creed; two daughters, Carolyn Virginia Creed and Susan Creed Charrier; one granddaughter, Lindsay Dousay; his parents, Shelton Creed and Helen H. Creed Rhodes; father-in-law, Authur Durr and mother-in-law, Lossie Durr Creed.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one daughter, Sharon Creed Dousay (Larry); his sister, Ginger Creed Deville (Mickey); one granddaughter, Lauren Dousay Melancon (Ben); three grandsons, Linden Dousay, Tyson Charrier, and Shelton Charrier; six great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Colonel David Durr (Jacqueline) and a host of other family members and friends.
