Robert Leo Lloyd, 86, of Triangle, Virginia, passed away on September 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Joplin, Virginia to James and Virginia Lloyd on September 7, 1935. He married Beverly June Woodyard on July 23, 1955 at Triangle Baptist Church. He graduated in 1955 from Garfield Senior High School and worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Prince William County until retiring.

Robert's hobbies included; tending to his bee hives, building, fixing things his kids and grandchildren broke, crab feasts, attending Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals games, going to NASCAR races, traveling, staying at the Wilderness Presidential Resort, and most of all, spending time with his family. He recently moved to Omaha, Texas where he loved living on the farm, tinkering around, watching his bee hives, pigs, chickens, dogs, and looking at the beautiful scenery that surrounded him.

Robert was preceded in death by his father James Lloyd; mother Virginia Lloyd; sister Joann Powers (Joseph); brother Phillip Lloyd; two sons Steven Lloyd and James Lloyd; grandsons Brian Lloyd and Justin Reeves.

Robert is survived by his grandsons David Lloyd, Ananias Lloyd and Elias Lloyd; granddaughters Jennifer Reeves, Desiree Hennessey (Casey) and Chante Rittenour (Jonathan); great-grandchildren Ariana Lloyd, David Lloyd Jr., and Steven Lloyd; daughter-in-law Mary Ann Lloyd; nephews Sam Leddon (Rosemary), Douglas Leddon (Sally), and John Leddon; and niece Judy Bettis (James). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2022 at Heritage Baptist Church, 14510 Spriggs Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22193; A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Michael E. Edwards officiating and a visitation following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately afterwards at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, Virginia 20109.
