Richlands - Archie Dunn Davis, 64, of Richlands, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at University Health & Hospice Center, Greenville.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Richlands. Mr. Davis was a graduate of Richland High School, Class of 1965 and a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Class of 1971. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Donnie Davis; brother, Alton Davis; and brother-in-law, Carl Kliewer.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Richlands with Rev. Doyle Holder officiating. Burial will follow at the Owen-Davis Cemetery, Nine Mile.
He is survived by his wife, Faye H. Davis; son, Patrick Davis and wife Angela of Greenville; brother, Don Davis of Richlands; sisters, Faye Kliewer of Richlands, Ethel Delosh and husband Jim of Liverpool, NY and Sheryl Richardson and husband Donnie of Richlands; and one granddaughter, Tara Davis.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m on Monday, Dec. 12 at Johnson Funeral Home, Richlands.
